Inspirations from nature

Yesterday morning while walking the dog I noticed a delicate little bird's nest. It got me thinking about a new ornament. I played around with an few designs last night and this is what I came up with. I'm excited with how they turned out and that I have another little project I can work on in the car tomorrow while riding to Buffalo.

Thanksgiving is next week?!?!

Where has November gone? It seems I've just started thinking about getting stuff together for the Christmas season and it is here already. I've been doing some consignment and wholesale orders and I'm hoping my eyesight holds out from all the hand sewing. I miss it being light later in the evening. Andy, Maddie and I are headed to Buffalo next Tuesday. I'm trying to get a bunch of projects cut out that I can sew on the 12 hour drive there. I'll be glad when the holiday season is over, then I can focus on non-holiday things like switching my business name over and weaving rugs. I went to a pricing workshop last night and it was great. If you live in Maine and can get a chance to take a class with James McConnon go for it.
I guess I better get back to sewing.

I've been a little cashmere obsessed lately and I started making some Christmas ornaments out of scraps.

I've been thinking about just forgetting about my blog but then I got a few new followers and a couple of comments. So.... thank you to the people who take the time to read my blog and inspiring me to make it part of my life again.

What can I say I haven't posted in forever. I've been busy changing my business name, trying to get ready for the Christmas season as well as work on the house, my day job and when I get the chance sleep. I promise to try harder though. And I'll be switching to a new blog once I get my new business name all up and running.
